Colonoscopies can make patients nervous, but they are safe and painless procedures. We visited with Dr. Benjamin Kulow, a colon and rectal surgeon, for a demonstration on how an endoscope works, which is similar to the tool used to perform colonoscopies. If you're 45 or older, talk to your health provider about having a colonoscopy that could save your life.
