Garden Party at Saint Luke's Rehabilitation Institute

Saint Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute invited patients outside last week for its annual Garden Party, an event that incorporates occupational, physical, and speech therapies into an enjoyable, healing activity: Planting flowers. Gardening is an excellent form of therapy because it engages balancing, reaching, fine motor skills, and more. Patients danced to the music while they worked, and families joined their loved ones to assist with the planting. We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather for the occasion.
